Whoo-hoo! Great topic! I could hear my inner man leap for joy at the thought of writing this beautiful piece. But like every fleeting thought, the excitement soon waned out, reality struck, and I paused, took a moment to think things through, and one question kept poking at my heart — So, what are the seven strategies?

Take this information seriously; if there’s any fact you can bet your money on to optimize your content in this era, it’s the following…

1. Voice Search — In our world today, where interactions with technology happen via conversations with intelligent machines, consumer behavior has taken a different turn. It’s imperative more than ever for businesses to make wise decisions and rethink their business growth by including Voice Search into their business plan. According to Google, 58% of consumers find local businesses near them by conducting Voice search searches. While traditional search has not fazed out entirely, most people would instead use Voice search to save time typing text on their phones.

2. Create SEO Friendly Content — Come to think of it, life itself is content with the series of events in our lives daily. Suffice it to say, without content which is your product/service; you have no business being in business. However, the quality of your content determines your market value. The more reason you should create content that is SEO friendly is to succeed in the marketplace. Content Marketing tailored to meet a specific need of customers will help google know where to rank you in Search Engine Result Pages (SERPs).

3. Use of Chatbots — Chatbots are software programs embedded in your website and used for communicating with website users. It helps increase the dwell time on your web page, which is one of Google’s prominent factors when ranking a page. A lot of netizens will prefer personalized, undivided attention, 24/7 quick response experience any day. Also, the conversion rate is unmatched.

4. Content Promotion — I remember the words of the marketing juggernaut, Andy Crestodina. In his words, “It’s not the best content that wins but the best-promoted content that wins,” and true to his words, the world is a global village, meaning what you don’t promote stays hidden, and nobody will hear about it. It remains wholly blinded to the internet.

5. Guest Posting — One sure way to distribute your content and get desirable results from your SEO marketing campaign is to guest post on popular websites in your niche. In this case, you surf the internet for authority blogs in your niche and contribute a command that readers will love and engage. By so doing, more people get to read your content, reference you as an expert in your niche, but above all, you stand a chance to drive quality traffic to your website.

6. Content Repurposing — Haven’t you noticed? Most people don’t like to read text; they get bored out of their minds when it’s a long text. Oh well, but that’s the reality of the world today. So, repurposing content into other formats like video, audio, images, infographics, animation will undoubtedly do the trick. Using mediums like YouTube, Podcasts, etc., will help you reach more people and spread the word about your content. Over time, I’ve noticed this strategy to be more effective and converting.

7. Influencer Marketing — If you pay close attention, you’ll notice that a massive chunk of our daily decisions, especially on products/services, is influenced by someone. That “someone “can be a friend, colleague, partner, neighbor, celebrity, etc. We always rely on word-of-mouth reviews to make that final decision. Taking it a notch further, over time, some persons have built a strong community of fans who blindly trust their opinion and judgment regardless of its authenticity. To gain fast traction with your content, you can partner with these influencers that resonate with your brand and leverage their large followership to gain visibility and high conversion.

These strategies are tested and proven to deliver impeccable results if adhered to judiciously. There are no “ifs” or “buts” in this case because when you optimize your content using SEO, you’ll get the desired results.

Don’t you think SEO is a big deal? How do you explain the statistics by Live Internet Stats that states that over 6.4 billion searches are done every day, most of which are from customers looking to buy from you. Also, more than 77,000 search terms are being typed into Google, and that’s just one search engine; what about Bing, Microsoft, Safari, etc.…?

I’ll conclude that if you have a business online and do not strategically use SEO to optimize your content, you’re missing out on many opportunities that your competitors are taking.
